Strategic Foresight Partnership to Strengthen Regional Capacity for Territorial Policy Enhancement

Promotion of Strategic Foresight for Innovation in Education and Training in Friuli Venezia Giulia

The SFP project aims to enhance the use of strategic foresight to improve regional governance and support the achievement of cohesion policy objectives.

The initiative focuses on three main objectives:

  • improving strategic foresight capabilities at the regional level,
  • promoting an adaptive and systemic approach to regional governance, and
  • facilitating knowledge exchange between regions and European institutions.

For the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region, the project focuses on the Regional Program (PR) FSE+, with particular attention to measures dedicated to education and training, in collaboration with the Central Directorate for Work, Education, Training and Family – FSE+ Managing Authority.

Type of service

Support to capacity building on strategic foresight at partnership level. Management of capacity building activities targeting the group of regional stakeholders. Support for applying strategic foresight to the relevant policy instrument. Participation in international events. Support for communication, promotion, and dissemination of results.

SFP: Second Strategic Foresight Capacity-Building Cycle Concludes

At the end of June the capacity-building cycle on Strategic Foresight for SFP project stakeholders concluded. The programme, structured around three webinars held on 18, 23, and 25 June, engaged institutions, research bodies and social partners across Friuli Venezia Giulia in discussions on foresight practices supporting public policies at regional and European levels and beyond.

On 12 May 2026 in Udine, at the Sala Bravo of the Pordenone-Udine Chamber of Commerce, the second meeting of the training pathway promoted by Informest for the regional stakeholder group of the Strategic Foresight Partnership project took place, focusing on methods and phases for implementing future-oriented exercises in a shared regional context and learning.

On 27 April 2026 in Udine, Informest launched the training programme for the Strategic Foresight Partnership Regional Stakeholder Group. The initiative brought together 24 representatives from 13 organisations across Friuli Venezia Giulia, spanning education, regional institutions, universities and the economic sector, to promote skills exchange and dialogue on future perspectives.
