Within the European Union funded Twinning project aimed at strengthening North Macedonia’s phytosanitary services, technical and training activities continue alongside legislative alignment efforts. Field missions, monitoring through pheromone traps and studies on harmful organisms, including Capnodis tenebrionis, support knowledge transfer, institutional cooperation and the protection of agricultural production across the national system.
From 15 to 17 September 2026, Izola (Slovenia) will host the eleventh edition of the Mediterranean Coast and Macro-Regional Strategies Week, a well-established event dedicated to discussing the role of macro-regional strategies and promoting territorial cooperation across the Mediterranean.
The CRESCITA project, co-financed by Interreg Italy-Austria and led by Informest, was launched in Udine to strengthen climate resilience in inland Alpine areas. Partners and stakeholders presented objectives, digital tools, training activities and Nature-Based Solutions. Pilot sites in Italy and Austria will test innovative approaches until March 2028, supporting local climate adaptation efforts.
