North Macedonia Twinning: From Rules to Practice, Strengthening Phytosanitary Services Also Through Field Work

Within the European Union funded Twinning project aimed at strengthening North Macedonia’s phytosanitary services, technical and training activities continue alongside legislative alignment efforts. Field missions, monitoring through pheromone traps and studies on harmful organisms, including Capnodis tenebrionis, support knowledge transfer, institutional cooperation and the protection of agricultural production across the national system.

CRESCITA: Project launched in Udine to strengthen climate resilience in inland Alpine areas

The CRESCITA project, co-financed by Interreg Italy-Austria and led by Informest, was launched in Udine to strengthen climate resilience in inland Alpine areas. Partners and stakeholders presented objectives, digital tools, training activities and Nature-Based Solutions. Pilot sites in Italy and Austria will test innovative approaches until March 2028, supporting local climate adaptation efforts.

Launch Event of the Italian EUSAIR Presidency in Rome: Friuli Venezia Giulia at the Heart of Adriatic-Ionian Cooperation

On 28 July, the launch event of the Italian Presidency of the European Union Strategy for the Adriatic-Ionian Region (EUSAIR) was held in Rome at the headquarters of Unioncamere, marking the beginning of a new phase of macro-regional cooperation guided by the Presidency’s motto centred on identity, cohesion and European integration.

Growing Bioeconomy: Figures and Prospects for Agri-food Innovation

The 12th Bioeconomy Report highlights the sector’s growth across the EU27 and Italy’s leading position. Innovation, biotechnology and circular economy models are driving sustainable development. Through the BioTech2Agri project, Informest and Cluster Agrifood FVG supported Italian and Slovenian SMEs, strengthening competitiveness, collaboration and the sustainable valorisation of biological resources throughout the cooperation area.

Informest’s Experience Supporting a New European Project Design Training Programme for Local Authorities in Friuli Venezia Giulia

ComPA FVG, in collaboration with Informest, is launching a 36-hour training programme on European project design for local authority staff in Friuli Venezia Giulia. Informest is responsible for course design and teaching activities. Running from September to November 2026, the programme combines online and in-person lessons, strengthening practical skills for European funding opportunities.

ResilienCE Transnational Call Open for Social Economy and the Twin Transition

Social economy enterprises operating in Carnia can apply for the ResilienCE Capacity Building Programme by 31 August 2026. Selected organisations will receive mentoring, training, organisational needs assessment and support for green and digital transition. The programme also includes a peer learning exchange in Budapest and transnational activities aimed at strengthening resilience and innovation.

SFP: Second Strategic Foresight Capacity-Building Cycle Concludes

At the end of June the capacity-building cycle on Strategic Foresight for SFP project stakeholders concluded. The programme, structured around three webinars held on 18, 23, and 25 June, engaged institutions, research bodies and social partners across Friuli Venezia Giulia in discussions on foresight practices supporting public policies at regional and European levels and beyond.

BioTech2Agri meets businesses: innovation and cross-border opportunities for the agri-food sector

On 10 July 2026 in Udine, the BioTech2Agri event concluded the Innovation Coin support programme, presenting results on technical feasibility, business model development and funding opportunities. Universities, companies, experts and Italian and Slovenian partners shared experiences, financial tools and collaboration opportunities, confirming the value of cross-border cooperation for sustainable and competitive agri-food innovation.

1st ResilienCE Lab: Building a shared vision for the future of Carnia

The first ResilienCE Lab, organized in Gorizia by Informest on July 9, brought together public actors, training bodies, social economy and communities to define a shared vision for Carnia’s future. Objectives emerged on local economy, sustainable tourism, innovation, services, cooperation, identity and the role of social enterprises in resilient territorial development and inclusive sustainable growth.
