The objective of our project is to strengthen European competitiveness through the advancement of innovation in the agri-food sector. We intend to achieve this objective by adding value to the Italian-Slovenian agri-food chains through the transfer of biotechnological solutions activating cross-border collaboration between the public and private partnership and to create synergetic developments throughout the duration of the project and certainly beyond by setting up medium and long-term development.
Friuli Venezia Giulia, thanks to its rich and diversified agricultural heritage, offers significant potential for the development of biotechnologies applied to food, nutraceutical and cosmetic value chains. However, many SMEs in the region struggle to access technology transfer and to fully exploit research results.

A new call has been published for the selection of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the agrifood sector based in Veneto, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, and Slovenia. Selected companies will benefit from a customized innovation support package worth €5,000, fully funded by the BioTech2Agri project.
