BLUE KEP project aims

• to encourage standardization of technical schools curricula & knowledge mobility to support innovation;
• to increase availability of trained professionals in targeted sector with mutually recognized skills;
• to improve CB cooperation among targeted blue economy systems, clusters &complementary specializations.

The project activities planned are:

• Diffusion of BLUE KEP Call for schools
• Organization of project events and capitalization of project results
• Setting up a technical working group and technical school selection criteria
• School accreditation and matching
• Teacher training and exchange of experience
• Setting student selection criteria
• Common training modules and mutual recognition of credits
• Mobility preparation
• Organization of trainings for students in selected companies in ship and maritime sector
• Student selection and mobility execution
• Student final assessment

Thanks to BLUE KEP project, the results would be

• improved education (secondary school level) system in nautical/ship sector through a standardization of technical schools curricula between Italian and Croatian educational systems and a better integration with the productive sector
• creation of an effective “region of knowledge” in the cross border area, fostering the circulation of young people and the availability of trained professionals with mutual recognized skills thanks to cooperation among quadruple helix representatives (policy makers, schools, young people and companies) of the maritime/ship sector
• Project results represent pivotal mechanisms contributing to a better exploitation of the existing potential of the cross border maritime/ship sector in terms of innovation.

Type of service

Informest is responsible for coordination, general and financial management, internal communication , monitoring and reporting of the project. It also gives support in communication and capitalization activities, as well as in the selection of the schools and companies for the creation of a training system in the nautical and maritime sectors. Informest coordinates the mobility preparation and execution and the standardization of the curricula: preparation of common modules and recognition of credits and final assessment of students.
