On May 13–14, 2025, the French city of Amiens hosted the launch meeting of the European project Strategic Foresight Partnership (SFP), funded by the Interreg Europe programme. The initiative aims to strengthen the long-term strategic planning capacities of European regions.
Informest participated in the event with a team composed of Martina Pertoldi (Project Manager), Corrado Campobasso (Analyst), and Ivana Calabrese (Communication Specialist), joined by Chiara Cristini, researcher at IRES FVG and member of the regional stakeholder group for the SFP project, which is currently being defined.
Next Steps
The project has a total budget of €1,549,998. In addition to Friuli Venezia Giulia, it will involve six other European regions: Hauts-de-France (France, lead partner), Helsinki-Uusimaa (Finland), South Moravia (Czech Republic), Podkarpackie (Poland), Catalonia (Spain), and Ivano-Frankivsk (Ukraine), running until 2029.
In France, the seven partners shared experiences and discussed project implementation strategies with members of the advisory board, including representatives from the OECD, the Joint Research Centre, and the European Committee of the Regions. The Amiens meeting marked the beginning of an interregional collaboration journey that will continue in the coming years through meetings, exchanges of best practices, and capacity-building activities, guiding the regions in shaping their “desirable futures.”

The SFP project aims to enhance strategic foresight in Friuli Venezia Giulia, improving regional governance and supporting cohesion policy objectives. It focuses on three main goals: enhancing regional foresight capabilities, promoting adaptive governance, and facilitating knowledge exchange with European institutions. The initiative specifically targets education and training measures within the Regional Program (PR) FSE+ framework.
