PATH-DEV project aims to 

• develope local sustainable economic of the fishing sector;
• create and implement training and teaching activities for strengthening capacities and know-how of local technical experts and private actors of the fishing sector.

The planned activities are various:

1. Training in Italy of Libyan technical experts for evaluation of material and immaterial assets of the Libyan fishing sector
2. Training in Italy of Libyan public authorities for labelling and certifications in the fishing sector
3. Training in Italy of Libyan trainers for improvement of technical competences to be transferred to young fishermen trainees once back to Libya
4. Purchase of training tools and equipment to allow the set-up of training labs for young fishermen in Libya.

The expected results are

• Improvement of know-how and capacities of technical experts and of private operators of the fishing sector;
• Sustainable economic development.
