The CAPABLE project participated in the Exchange of experience for our projects event on 15 April 2026, followed by Europe, let’s cooperate! 2026, the annual flagship event of the Interreg Europe Programme held in Copenhagen from 16 to 17 April 2026.
Informest actively participated in the event in support of the Lead Partner, the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region, contributing to exchanges, reflection and networking activities alongside project partners, lead partners and programme stakeholders.
The first day was mainly dedicated to lead partners from the three calls of the Interreg Europe programme and focused on opportunities for peer learning, networking and thematic discussions.
Participants were involved in several thematic and practical sessions, covering key policy areas addressed by Interreg Europe projects. These sessions also included moments of exchange and group work, particularly focused on good practices identification and analysis, as well as stakeholder involvement strategies, fostering interaction and mutual learning among participants.
A dedicated part of the day focused on discussions about the future of the Interreg Europe Programme. Programme representatives confirmed the continuation of Interreg Europe in the next programming period, together with an increase in the overall budget. It was also announced that the programme chapter is expected to be approved at the beginning of 2028, with the first call for projects planned for spring 2028.
The day concluded with additional thematic exchanges and informal networking moments, enabling projects to connect, share experiences and explore synergies beyond their individual thematic focus.
The first day of Europe, let’s cooperate! was dedicated to an analysis of the ongoing programming period, including insights from the mid-term review of Interreg Europe and reflections on the programme’s progress so far.
At the same time, discussions looked ahead to future policy priorities, through thematic sessions addressing key challenges for European regions. These included a session on sustainable and affordable housing, highlighting policy approaches and practices supporting inclusive and accessible urban development.
Another thematic focus was placed on green and tech-driven innovation, with concrete examples and a session dedicated to resilience and innovation in countries located at the Eastern borders of Europe. The discussion explored how innovation can support territorial resilience in a changing geopolitical context.
The day combined thematic sessions and networking opportunities, fostering exchanges among projects and stakeholders and encouraging interregional learning.
The final day was dedicated to study visits, offering participants the opportunity to explore good practices implemented at local level. CAPABLE took part in a study visit focusing on urban innovation and sustainable city planning, with examples drawn from Denmark and the city of Copenhagen. The visit showcased innovative approaches integrating urban design, mobility, creativity and social inclusion.
The good practices presented highlighted Copenhagen’s strong cycling culture and infrastructure, as well as the development of creative and multifunctional urban spaces designed for work, social aggregation, sports and activities for children, particularly in the city centre. These examples illustrated how citizens and wellbeing are placed at the core of urban policies and how companies and new urban developments actively contribute to creating inclusive, liveable and innovative urban environments. Overall, Europe, let’s cooperate! 2026 offered the CAPABLE project valuable opportunities for exchange with other Interreg Europe projects, reflection on Programme developments and inspiration from concrete policy practices. Informest actively participated in the event,engaging in exchanges of experiences and building contacts with other actors, with the aim of contributing to the project’s success and fostering future cooperation with other organisations and on additional thematic areas, further strengthening interregional learning and cooperation.

By focusing on the EU Care Strategy, it aims to enhance social care careers through upskilling, attracting new talent, improving service quality, and promoting worker mobility. The project recognizes the urgent need for 4.3 million care workers by 2030 across Europe.
