Beyond Borders: Immersive Experiences between Italy and Slovenia

The cross-border event “Beyond Borders: Immersive Experiences between Italy and Slovenia” is an important opportunity to discuss new technologies used to valorise cultural heritage. The initiative is part of the RECAPMCV project, co-funded by the Interreg VI-A Italy-Slovenia Programme, and aims to promote innovative solutions for digitisation and accessibility of museums.

The meeting will aim to present and discuss:

– strategies for creating immersive rooms in museums;
– good practices in the use of digital tools for the promotion of cultural heritage;
– funding and cooperation opportunities for the development of immersive experiences;
– strengthening the network of Italian and Slovenian stakeholders involved in the digitisation of museums, and to make a presentation to the media at a press conference.

Speakers and participants:

The event will be attended by representatives of Informest, the Municipality of Gorizia, ZRS Koper, Venetian Cluster, the Municipality of Tolmin, GECT GO / PUBLIC INSTITUTE, the Directorate of Culture of the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia and the Gorizia Museum of Nova Gorica.
 

Afternoon study visits


In the afternoon, participants will have the opportunity to deepen the topics covered in the workshop by visiting sites of particular interest: the Goriška Castle, the Border Museum in Miren, Kromberk Castle.
