The project aims to transfer the knowledge accumulated over several decades in the region to initiate an action for the protection and enhancement of environmental resources in the municipality of Zavidovici and the Brcko District (Bosnia and Herzegovina) through improved management of municipal solid waste.
Following an initial collaboration with political decision-makers, the experience and technical know-how of the regional partner are made available to the Bosnian counterpart through the implementation of technical training sessions and the promotion of the importance of separate waste collection within the local community. This includes the development of a Local Action Plan to encourage and facilitate separate waste collection.
In the PRAGES project, Informest takes on the role of coordinating partner, responsible for overseeing all planned activities. The main initiatives will focus on the coordinated management of Italian and Bosnian partners to implement training programs in Bosnian locations, specifically in the Brcko District and the Municipality of Zavidovici, targeting local administrators and technicians from waste collection and management companies.
Furthermore, Informest will lead a study visit to Italy for Bosnian partners, with the aim of presenting to them the technical and administrative solutions adopted by the Municipality of Gorizia and Isontina Ambiente. These solutions primarily concern waste recycling and the closure of the Cormons landfill.
Lastly, Informest will actively participate in activities to promote and present the project to the population of the Brcko District and the Municipality of Zavidovici.
