The overall objective of the twinning project is to improve the state of the environment including water, waste and management of urban settlements in accordance with the EU environmental acquis and with EU best practice to provide better health and living conditions for the citizens of Kosovo. More directly, the project is addressed to strengthen the capacity of the Ministry of Environment and of stakeholders in completing and enforcing the implementation of secondary legislation on water and river basin management, management of water infrastructure including dams, waste management, spatial and urban planning management, and nature protection and biodiversity.
