It was held on 27th November, in Pristina the final conference of the twinning project “Support to the Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning of Kosovo” where Informest participates as partner together with the Agency for Environmental Protection of Veneto Region, the Tourin Metropolitan Water Company and, on the French side, among others, with the Ministry for Environment.

At the conference participated many local stakeholders and representatives of departments of the Ministry for Environment and spatial planning, expressing satisfaction for the results achieved and for the activities done in the two years project.

“This project represents is an important goal for activities done by the European Commission in Kosovo. First of all for the wide range of issues covered, from alignment of secondary legislation with the acquis communautaire to water and waste monitoring and planning and management of protected areas. Secondly, because the European environmental legislation is the most complex” said Christof Stock, head of Operations of European Union Office, congratulating with experts that took part to the project.

At the conference was present also Paolo Gozzi, Head of Twinning Unit of the DG Enlargment, who summarized the progresses made over the last fifteen years by the European Union in the field of enlargement, underlining how the spirit that guides the Twinning projects is to transfer the knowledge and experience of member state countries to pre-accession and candidates countries.

“Experts from Member State Countries and representatives of the beneficiary institutions creates among themselves not only a working relation, but a friendly cooperation and respect, which are the basis for a long lasting partnership. And this reflects the aims for which Twinning were created”, said Mr. Gozzi are the basis The Twinning project, funded by the European Committee, has involved over 30 experts from different member state administrations, for a total of over 150 missions and 950 days spent in Kosovo.
