Project objectives:

In the framework of the International Desk South East Europe, the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia promoted the organisation of the congress “Scenarios of development in the Adriatic-Balcanic Area”, held in Gorizia (Italy) the 8 and 9^th March 2010. The aim of the congress was to start a multiannual collaboration between the target countries for the elaboration of a common development strategy in the Adriatic-Balkanic area. Informest, as a partner of the Region, was thus charged of the technical organisation of the congress: a two-day event, structured in three thematic tables (energy, transports and financial insurance sector) with the participation of 250 guests and institutional representatives of high level from the target countries (Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro, FYM of Macedonia, Albania, Romania, Greece and Turkey).

Project activities:

• Organisation and technical supervision of the congress;
• Secretariat activities, logistics, transports and realisation of promotional materials;
• Coordination of the involved actors (institutions, public security authorities, suppliers and partners);
• Coordination and supervision of the event;
• Follow-up.

Expected results:

Organisation and realisation of a permanent Forum aimed at define the intervention priorities for the development of the Adriatic-Balkanic Area.
