ChIMERA’s main objective is to improve innovation capacities of public and private actors of the cultural and creative industry (CCI) sector in participating regions and in MED area through strengthened transnational cooperation and connections among companies, research bodies, public authorities and civil society. Its purpose is pursued thanks to an integrated approach developed at both transnational level and regional level, in order to create and stimulate direct links and synergies in CCIs sector among enterprises, reaserch centres, Science&Tech parks, other operational bodies, public authorities and citizens, in particular promoting improvement (or creation) and internationalization of innovative CCIs cluster, investments, technology transfer, open innovation and cross sectoral innovation processes, regional and international networking. The Project’s strategy is very focused on internationalization, having, among its objectives to increase the capacities of companies to compete in the global market by developing their innovation potentials.
The final goal of ChIMERA is to increase transnational activity of innovative clusters, the European territorial competitiveness and networks of key sectors of MED area.

Objectives

• To outline, test and implement efficient innovation ecosystems/clusters models in the CCI sector functional to RIS 3 and development strategies
• To build up and consolidate a transnational network of innovative CCIs clusters and innovation ecosystems supporting innovation and internationalization in CCI sector
Project activities
• the capacity building for innovation key actors, cluster managers and enablers;
• the development of: regional action plans to improve innovation system for CCIs sector, innovative clusters business plans, a transnational work-plan to coordinate supporting tools for innovative CCIs sector;
• the testing phase and the implementation of initiatives and services to operationalize the transnational workplan, the action plans and the clusters business plans;
• transferring of tested innovation model/approach to other MED regions

Results
• 10strategic action plans(SAPs) for efficient innovation ecosystems/clusters models, 10 clusters business plans, 20financial tools, 10living labs&innovaion projects, 12 services for internationalization/innovation,10transferability plans.SAPs and clusters business plans outline the clusters models in participating regions; these models are tested and implemented through pilots tools/labs at regional/transnational level; 1transnational operational plan;
