On 27 April 2026 in Udine, Informest launched the training programme for the Strategic Foresight Partnership Regional Stakeholder Group. The initiative brought together 24 representatives from 13 organisations across Friuli Venezia Giulia, spanning education, regional institutions, universities and the economic sector, to promote skills exchange and dialogue on future perspectives.

The meeting, hosted at the Sala Bravo of the Pordenone Udine Chamber of Commerce, marked an initial opportunity for participants to share a common language and methodological references on Strategic Foresight, as well as to build a collaborative space for discussion.

The programme, led by Antonio Furlanetto and Elena Petrucci of skopìa – Anticipation Services, alternated introductory sessions on futures studies – with a particular focus on the distinction between forecast, foresight and anticipation, the key concepts of Strategic Foresight, approaches to change and signals of the future – with hands-on working sessions. During these sessions, participants took part in a structured futures exercise based on the “futures wheels” methodology, working in four heterogeneous groups in terms of skills and organisational background.

This meeting will be followed by a further session scheduled for 12 May, as part of a broader support pathway for the SFP Regional Stakeholder Group, which will continue in the coming months with additional exchange opportunities and practical exercises aimed at integrating Strategic Foresight into regional policies.
