On 3 and 4 December 2025, the fourth Steering Group Meeting of the EUSAIR Facility Point project took place in Ljubljana. The project is funded by the Interreg IPA ADRION Programme 2021–2027. The meeting brought together project partners to review the progress of activities and to define operational priorities for the upcoming period.

The meeting was preceded, on 2 December, by a capacity-building session entitled “Effective Meeting Management for Members in EUSAIR Bodies”, organised by the Municipality of Izola (PP10) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Montenegro (PP7), the partners responsible for capacity-building activities within the project. The workshop involved members of the EUSAIR governance bodies and of the Facility Point project.

Through interactive sessions, practical exercises and group simulations, participants explored tools and methodologies for more effective meeting planning and management, coordination among actors with different roles and interests, and support to decision-making processes in complex and multi-level contexts. Particular attention was given to the use of digital platforms and artificial intelligence solutions as tools to support cooperation, with the aim of improving operational efficiency, information sharing and the quality of joint work. These activities are intended to contribute concretely to strengthening coordination and the overall effectiveness of the Strategy’s governance, with a positive impact in the medium to long term.

During the Steering Group Meeting, participants were updated on the progress of the project’s main activities and deliverables, with particular reference to EUSAIR governance, coordination and communication, as well as financial performance in view of the Mid-term Review. An update was also provided on the ongoing activities of the EUSAIR Youth Council.

The second day was dedicated to an operational discussion on the 2026 Work Plan, which will be finalised at the beginning of the year with the activities scheduled for 2026. The conclusions focused on strengthening synergies among the Strategy’s governance bodies, improving internal communication among partners and the effectiveness of external communication, as well as defining a number of particularly relevant events and activities planned for 2026 in the Adriatic–Ionian area.

The meeting was attended by the Autonomous Region Friuli Venezia Giulia, as the Italian partner in the EUSAIR Facility Point project, accompanied by Informest, which provides technical, administrative and operational support to the governance structures. The contribution focused in particular on the activities of Pillar 2 “Connecting the Region” – Transport and Energy, for which the Autonomous Region Friuli Venezia Giulia acts as the Italian coordinator, together with the Region Abruzzo.
