The cycle of four coordination meetings of the EURADRIA 2024–2026 Infodesks has concluded. From September to November, institutions, trade unions, and organizations from Italy and Slovenia gathered in the Tessitori Hall in Trieste to improve labor mobility in the cross-border area.
EURADRIA has been working for years to support professional mobility between Friuli Venezia Giulia and Slovenia, with a clear goal: to increase job opportunities for workers and cross-border commuters, facilitate recruitment for businesses, and ensure qualified services for citizens and employers.
The series of meetings involved the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region (lead partner), Informest, trade unions CISL FVG, CGIL TS, UIL FVG, CSI Nordest, and the INCA and INAS welfare agencies, together with business support entities OOZ Nova Gorica, Primorska Gospodarska Zbornica, SDGZ–URES, and the Employment Service of the Republic of Slovenia (ZRSZ).
The starting point for developing proposals are existing obstacles such as:
The work will continue with further meetings dedicated to risk analysis and the finalization of the concluding report, which will be completed by March to bring to the attention of the European Labour Authority (ELA) and the competent ministries of both countries the main obstacles identified and possible solutions to ensure the application of existing EU regulations.
The Project “EURADRIA 2024-2026”, aims at stimulating the movement of workers within the cross-border region “EURADRIA”, through the promotion of the development of the European labour market, the cross-border exchange of job offers and applications, the exchange of information regarding the European labour markets with reference also to living conditions and job opportunities.
