May 9 – Europe Day: An Anniversary Celebrating Peace, Cooperation, and a Shared Future

9 May 2025

Today, May 9, we celebrate Europe Day, an anniversary established to commemorate the Schuman Declaration of 1950 — a symbolic act that marked the beginning of the European integration process after the devastating conflicts of the twentieth century. From that moment on, an ambitious and unique project began to take shape, based on peace, solidarity, and shared development, which has transformed the face of our continent.

This day offers an opportunity to reflect on what has been built so far and on the work still to be done to create a more cohesive, sustainable, and citizen-centered Europe.

For over thirty years, Informest has been an active part of this journey, serving the region. Through cooperation and internationalization projects, the organization works daily to strengthen the links between Europe and Friuli Venezia Giulia, bringing local authorities, institutions, and territorial stakeholders closer to the opportunities offered by the European Union.

From technical support in accessing EU calls, to assistance with fund management and the creation of international partnerships, Informest is a key partner for those who want to enhance local resources through a European lens.

Celebrating Europe Day also means this: building connections, creating opportunities, and working together to shape a stronger and more inclusive future for our regional community.
