KEPASS, the European project of school mobility for secondary schools defined the list of schools that will host the students of different nationalities between the two sides of the Adriatic. Of the eleven regional schools who have asked to be accredited under the program, five were selected to become part of the next final stages of the project.

Accredited schools are: Isis “S.Gregorcic” in Gorizia with Slovene language of instruction, the National College “Paolo Diacono” in Cividale del Friuli, the Liceo “Preseren” with the language of instruction Slovene of Trieste, Educandato Statale ” Uccellis” and the High School “Catherine Percoto,” both in Udine. Among the criteria established by notice in the preferential selection: the offer extracurricular afternoon, forms of international education, the use of CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning, the so-called “language immersion”) and / or the use of multiple foreign languages , the presence of boarding schools or affiliated accommodation.

The students of our region will have the unique opportunity to spend three months in the heart of the new Europe and Europe’s future, as the foreign schools involved are located in Albania (Vlore), Bosnia (Mostar), Croatia (Rovinj), Montenegro (Danilovgrad), Slovenia (Piran / Koper),

At this point in the project, both in Italy, as in the Balkan countries, is expected to start a phase of preparation of the staff of the institutions to best accommodate students who will arrive in our region and, conversely, to better prepare those who will go abroad from the school year 2014/2015.

Kepass, sponsored by the Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia and Informest, aims Community integration, greater competitiveness among the school systems involved and especially the promotion of exchanges between students of different nationalities between the two shores of the Adriatic, an experience that allows young people involved to get in touch with different cultures, languages ??and curricula than its own.
