On July 9, Informest organized in Gorizia the first ResilienCE Lab within the Interreg Central Europe ResilienCE project. The participatory workshop brought together representatives of public institutions, training organizations, social economy actors and local stakeholders to discuss the future development of Carnia and identify priorities to strengthen the territory’s resilience.
Following a presentation of the ResilienCE project and a summary of the results of the preliminary online workshop held in May, participants engaged in an interactive group exercise aimed at defining a shared vision for the future of Carnia. Discussions focused on identifying and developing short-, medium- and long-term development pathways, based on local needs, opportunities and territorial resources.
The discussions highlighted several key priorities for the territory:
Participants also reflected on the role that social economy enterprises (SEEs) can play in addressing local challenges and supporting a more inclusive and sustainable development model for Carnia.
The results of the ResilienCE Lab will contribute to the next phases of the project, supporting the design of future capacity-building activities and local resilience actions. The event concluded with a discussion on the upcoming call dedicated to social economy SMEs and an overview of the next steps in the ResilienCE process in Carnia.

The RESILIENCE project promotes sustainable development in Central Europe’s peripheral areas, addressing economic underdevelopment, service shortages, and depopulation. It emphasizes the twin transition of green and digital skills for social economy enterprises through capacity-building and mentoring. Transnational cooperation and stakeholder engagement are vital for creating a resilient ecosystem that ensures long-term prosperity and community alignment.
