The study focused its attention on following topics:

• The general framework of regional instability;
• The perspective of the evolution of the Federal republic of Yugoslavia;
• The after Dayton scenarios;
• The definition of eventual global alternative scenarios for the area;
• The definition of possible scenarios of economic integration;
• The Italian interests in these scenarios, in a framework of gradual European integration;
• Conclusions on Italian actions lines in the economic field.
