The overall objective of the Twinning project is to improve the national plant protection system, further strengthening North Macedonia’s capacity to align phytosanitary legislation with European Union standards, within the context of the national pre-accession path. Proper implementation of the Twinning project will contribute to the implementation of the “Stabilization and Association Agreement” for the gradual harmonization of phytosanitary legislation with Community standards and the implementation of the “National Program for Adoption of the Acquis (NPAA)”, revision 2021-2023.
