The Project aimed at:

• making the operative standards of the two banking realities – Italian and Czech – as common as possible;
• facilitating trade and production relations between Czech and Italian enterprises.

A mutual dialogue between the Czech and the Italian credit institutions was fostered and a professional updating activity was performed, addressed to two professional levels, respectively Managers and Top Managers belonging to the International Divisions of the Czech banks. As a result of the project, the following documents were also published:

• The efficiency of a bank
• Cash flow analysis and bank goals – theory of compatible targets
• The impact of the euro on the structure of European financial markets
• Costs and benefits of the EMU.

The Project Partner was the Bankovní Institut a.s. This Institute was established in Prague in 1994 to allow Czech officers and financial bodies to have access not only to economic and legislative mechanism of the national banking system, but also to the international procedures. Czech commercial banks, the National Central Bank (CNB), the Association of Banks are among the members. The Institute diffuses information and transfers knowledge by organizing training activity and internship in Czech Republic and abroad, seminars and conventions, by publishing books and reviews, by testing the quality management (Certification according to the standards EN 45012 and ISO 9000).
