The aim of this training project was the creation of new professional profiles – Euroconsultants – able to manage with EU and IFI programmes and with opportunities for the internationalization of SMEs. Within the learning process special emphasis was given to the Structural Funds programming methodology, ICT ability for the management of complex data-bases and business administration for the enhancement of the capacity of institutional bodies dealing with the social and economic development of the territory. Moreover the course aimed at making Euroconsultants able to access national and international financial instruments, to identify the opportunities of bi- and multilateral co-operation, especially with Central and Eastern European countries. The pattern of this pilot training course was adopted by the Region Friuli Venezia Giulia as reference for the new professional profile ?Euroconsultant? within the programming exercise of the ESF in the region.
