The main objective of the Project was the establishment and promotion of a wood Industrial Park in Brezoi, Valcea County (Romania).

The project activities included an on-the-field evaluation of the endogenous resources available in the area and of their potentialities, as well as the analysis of the demand for raw materials and semi finished products in North-Eastern Italy in order to implement planned dislocation activities.

The second phase of the project consisted in a feasibility study about the implementation of a wood industrial park in Brezoi, with special reference to the legal, administrative, financial and town-planning aspects involved in the set-up of the park and establishment of the enterprises with partial Italian shares. Promotional events have been later organised about the development of the industrial park. The implementation of the operational program identified by the feasibility study was conditioned to the interest of new investors in the Brezoi area and to a local environment easing the collaboration with foreign actors and the competitive collaboration among local players as in the virtuous model of the Italian industrial clusters. During this phase, the Italian enterprises, who were interested in delocalise in Breszoi, set-up joint-ventures o directly invest in the area, have been identified and the profiles of the potential local partners have been presented to the Italian entrepreneurs.

In the following project phases, training  activities and study tours in Romania and Italy have been implemented for Romanian entrepreneurs and business technicians from Brezoi. The final phase concerned the implementation of five enterprises from Nord-Eastern Italy in the Brezoi industrial park. The targeted enterprises have been provided with technical assistance on all the aspects related to the set-up of the new businesses.
