GENERAL OBJECTIVE: to incentivize University of Kashmir to train experts in the protection of soil and evaluation of the hydrogeological and seismic risk. To ease the adoption for local administration of informatics system for the monitoring of hydrogeological and seismic catastrophic events.
SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES:
– Link with regional and academic bodies in Trieste
– Laboratories with workstation and software shareware for the territorial management
– Start of an interchange between Geolab and local administration
EXPECTED RESULTS:
– Working experience in Italy about thematic of hydrogeological risk
– Transfer of calculation techniques and protection of soil
– Establishment of a preliminary catalogue of landslides based on international criteria and their localization on an informative geographic system
– Approach to monitoring techniques for movements of the soil through satellite GPS instrumentation
ACTIVITIES:
– Temporary transfer in Italy of 2 professors for 7 days and 2 researchers for 3 months, coaching
– Purchase of a GPS station Leica Viva printer, plotter A3 and scanner A3, 2 laptops
– Satellite images, software for elaboration of GPS data, software for GPS management
– 2 Italian researchers to Muzzaffarabad for one week
– Accommodation for 10 people for 5 days in Muzaffarabad
– Closing workshop in Pakistan and in Italy
– Secretary office and organization
