Student mobility continues successfully in the framework of project KEPASS

The student mobility program of  project KEPASS – Knowledge Exchange Programme for the Adriatic School System is in full swing. Since the beginning of  September, hundreds of students began to attend a quarter at one of the accredited school in the Adriatic area participating to the exchange program.

After two years of work, the definition of the educational aspects of training for the management of logistics, the mobility program began and now 5 schools in our region are hosting and training 14 boys from Slovenia, Croatia , Albania, Bosnia and Montenegro.

One of the objectives of the mobility program KEPASS is, in fact, to reach an established model for the recognition of credits that can be used in other European countries . In addition, in a perspective of sustainability of the project KEPASS aims to turn the exchange program into an established practice that can be developed in the future through the use of ordinary funds of the Autonomous Region Friuli Venezia Giulia and of the other partners of the project.

On the first half of 2014 was launched the call for students of accredited schools, that for Friuli Venezia Giulia Region are: Liceo Scientifico Statale “France Prešeren” in Trieste; Convitto Nazionale “Paolo Diacono” in Cividale del Friuli (UD); Liceo “Caterina Percoto” di Udine, Educandato Statale “Collegio Uccellis” in Udine e Liceo Umanistico “S. Gregorcic” in Gorizia. The selected students have now the opportunity to live an important experience for professional, education and human enrichment, which conciliate aspects of learning with aspects of everyday life in a social and cultural context new and different.Launched  in October 2012, the KEPASS project , co-financed by the European Union through the IPA Adriatic cross-border cooperation program 2007-2013 is managed at the regional level by the Regione Autonoma Friuli Venezia Giulia, the Lead Partner of the project, in collaboration with the United World College of the Adriatic in Duino. For the management of the project , the Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia also makes use of the support Informest -Agency for Development and International Economic Cooperation of Gorizia , who has been working as technical assistance and coordination of the project partnership , as well as of  Regional Education Office of the Ministry of Education for the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region, which provides an important support for all educational aspects related to the organization of the mobility program . The project partnership includes institutions and authorities in the field of education from Marche Region, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Albania.
