Last 30th April, Informest with the support of FVG Tourism and Prealpi Giulie Regional Park, attended to “Motor Travel Trade” Slow Tourism Exchange, initiative realized in the frame of the project “MOTOR – Mobile tourist incubator”. The event was organized by Delta 2000 in Comacchio (Ferrara Province) in occasion of the “Slow Week”, biannual fair devoted to bird watching, naturalistic tourism and to activities related to slow tourism. At the “Motor Travel Trade” participated more than 35 tourist operators, among which there were also several operators of the Julian Prealps zone, pilot area of Friuli Venezia Giulia.
The operators met 11 tour operators from other Italian areas, from Germany, Great Britain and Poland, tourist agencies representatives, tour operators and CRAL (Leisure Business Association per Workers) focused on slow tourism products, cycle tourism, food and wine, nautical and waterways itineraries, and naturalistic tourism. The operators of the Prealpi Giulie Natural Park gave a very positive appraisal of the workshop and collected precious contacts and 90 meeting realized.
During MOTOR Travel Trade, Informest and FVG Tourism fitted an informative corner which showed to attendees the touristic offer of Friuli Venezia Giulia Region, illustrating to tour operators, operators came from other eligible areas and to many tourists which animated Comacchio streets, informative materials concerning thematic itineraries created by FVG Tourism for the promotion of naturalistic tourism and regional mountain areas.
The Slow Tourism Exchange is one of the initiatives promoted by MOTOR project which is funded by the Program Italy – Slovenia 2007-2013. The Project aims to improve the quality of the tourist offer of tourist destinations situated in natural and protected areas, rural districts and historical town centres provided with a rich cultural heritage.
