Eleven SMEs from Friuli Venezia Giulia Region met thirty companies from Montengro during the business matching activity organised in Podgorica from 24 to 26 September 2012.
The initiative was implemented as part of the project “ADRIA 3” funded by the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia using the funds of Law Reg. 19/2000 and is the result of the fruitful cooperation between Informest (project leader), Unioncamere Friuli Venezia Giulia (with the collaboration of all four chambers regional organizations, coordinated by Aries) and the Ministry of Economy of Montenegro through its Directorate Development of SMEs – NASME.
The SME delegation was composed by different branches and sectors from the energy and environmental protection (with particular emphasis on renewable energy and energy efficiency), the plastic and synthetic materials for construction, design in construction and infrastructure, in addition to the electrical, lighting and wine. While representatives of women’s entrepreneurship promoted initiatives focused on textiles and publishing.
During the opening session the Italian Ambassador HE Sergio Barbanti expressed positive appreciation for the work carried out by the project partners and the Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia present in the area with numerous projects. The Ambassador, in testimony of his personal support to the initiatives funded by the Autonomous Region Friuli Venezia Giulia, met with entrepreneurs to better understand their needs and expectations. The representative of Autonomous Region Friuli Venezia Giulia International Relations Directorate, Alessandro Perelli also focused on the strong link that binds historically and sociologically Friuli Venezia Giulia to Montenegro. Mr. Perelli also announced the next event to be held in Podgorica and which will consist of the inauguration of the House Friuli Venezia Giulia in Podgorica. The “House” will be a stable reference point to guarantee continuity in the relationship between our entrepreneurs, the regional institutions and the Montenegrin.
The two days of bilateral meetings and visits at the premises of companies Montenegrin ended with a guided tour of the Fair Housing Budva.
