Closed the project “BIO-ENERGY: bio-energy from a viaduct Friuli Venezia Giulia and the Republic of Moldova”

The project “BIO-ENERGY: bio-energy from a viaduct Friuli Venezia Giulia and the Republic of Moldova”, co-financed by the Law 19/2000 of the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia recently ended.
The partnership was composed by INFORMEST, Agency for development and international economic cooperation based in Gorizia, and as Italian partners the Italian Central Directorate for rural resources, food and forestry of the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia, ERSA and the Faculty of Agriculture of the University of Udine. Moldovan partners were the Ministry of Agriculture and Agro-Industry , the Municipality of Balti, the Association “Euro Small Business” and the agricultural research institute “Selecta” from Balti.

The BIO-ENERGY has analyzed and assessed the feasibility of a real and economically sustainable agro-energy chain, particularly focused on biodiesel, between the Republic of Moldova and the area north-East of Italy. The results that emerged during the study, presented at the meetings between the partners, held following study tours in Italy and Moldova, were collected in the study “BIO-ENERGY. A  bio-energy viaduct from Friuli Venezia Giulia and the Republic of Moldova. Opportunities for development of the agro-energy in Moldova “, which publishes contributions from all scholars and experts who participated in the project.
