First ResilienCE Lab – Building the Future of Carnia Together

17 June 2026

On July 9, 2026 at 08:45, the first ResilienCE Lab will take place in person in Gorizia. The event is organized by Informest, lead partner of the ResilienCE project, co-funded by the European Union within the Interreg Central Europe programme.

The meeting will involve local stakeholders in a moment of exchange and co-creation dedicated to the future of the Carnia area.

The lab represents the natural continuation of the preliminary online workshop held on May 19 and aims to deepen, validate, and further develop the territorial priorities identified, contributing to the definition of a shared resilience vision. Three additional in-person labs involving local stakeholders are planned during the project.

Why participate

Carnia faces significant economic, social, and demographic challenges, but also presents important opportunities related to local communities, social economy enterprises, and the green and digital transitions.

The Resilience Lab aims to actively involve territorial actors to:

  • Explore and prioritize key territorial needs
  • Contribute to defining short-, medium-, and long-term development pathways
  • Participate in a shared analysis of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats for local resilience (SWOT)
  • Co-define priorities that will guide the next Resilience Labs and pilot activities

What to expect

  • An introductory plenary session on the ResilienCE project and the Resilience Labs pathway
  • A presentation of the results of the preliminary workshop held on May 19
  • A structured interactive group activity (guided co-creation) based on:
    • Definition of development trajectories
    • SWOT analysis
    • Role of social economy enterprises (SEEs) in the territory
  • A concrete outcome: contributions collected will feed local activities and transnational project outputs

ResilienCE

The RESILIENCE project promotes sustainable development in Central Europe’s peripheral areas, addressing economic underdevelopment, service shortages, and depopulation. It emphasizes the twin transition of green and digital skills for social economy enterprises through capacity-building and mentoring. Transnational cooperation and stakeholder engagement are vital for creating a resilient ecosystem that ensures long-term prosperity and community alignment.
