Project objectives:

• Emerging industrial districts of SMEs identification and dissemination of best practices for strategic territorial planning in the partner countries.
• Features of bottom-up development of endogenous resources benchmarked on the pattern of the Italian industrial districts development, suitable also for tourism clusters development.

Project activities:

• Identification of a number of present/potential local productive systems (LPS) of priority interest for the partners;
• Survey of needs and expectations of entrepreneurs of the elected productive clusters;
• Documentation on legal operational frame and record of civil servants cultural approach to SME development needs;
• Comparison between entrepreneurial expectations and operational competence of relevant regional and local authorities;
• SWOT analysis in the selected LPS and forecast of productive clusters related development;
• Assessment of innovative solutions in terms of strategic territorial planning for productive clusters development;
• Comparison of best practices and exchange of experiences on strategic territorial planning for the clustering of productive activities;
• Dissemination of best practices and demonstration effect of project results through an Internet catalogue (http://www.progetti.informest.it/vicli/);
• Development of a concept on the issues of LPS development for the general interest of CADSES further programming.
