Technical Assistance for the Establishment and Operation of a European Information Correspondence Centre (SCR-E/111680/D/SV/KOS)

Project objectives:

  • To establish an European Information Correspondence Centre in Pristina (Kosovo).
  • Project activities:
  • To prepare a detailed business plan for the establishment and operation of the EICC;
  • To recruit and train the local staff to run the EICC;
  • To equip the EICC office with essential equipment;
  • To prepare detailed operation manuals;
  • To establish relations with relevant local and international organizations / institutions (EC headquarters in Brussels, UNMIK, etc.);
  • To define the services to be provided by the EICC.

By doing this, Informest, who hosts the EIC IT388, provided its experts competence and backstopping to the team leader on the field. The outputs of the project are considered as a good practice in the EAR operation and in Kosovo in particular.

Type of service

Technical assistance to the drawing up of the expression of interest; to the writing of the final proposal; to the identification of long-, medium- and short-term experts.

Backstopping activities to support the experts working in Kosovo and to facilitate the operative start-up of the EICC.

Technical assistance to the EICC staff for:

  • The organization of a mission of Italian entrepreneurs operating in the agribusiness sector to Kosovo and organization of a mission of Kosovar entrepreneurs to Italy;
  • The organization of Euro seminars in Kosovo, providing one short-term expert;
  • The organization of training and study visits for a member of the EICC staff at the EIC IT388 headquarters.
