The study focused on the importance of the role of Corridor 5 in the development of West-East and Italian trade exchanges. A particular attention was given to the present infrastructure situation and the inefficiencies and delays in implementation that hinder the traffic flows and even deviate them North of Alps (mainly through Austria), an alternative but also concurrent directrice from Germany.
