The First Transnational Conference of the SEE Digi.TV Project will be held in Trieste, at the Hotel Savoia Excelsior Palace, on the 19^th and 20^th of April. The event is organized by Informest, in collaboration with the Regional Communication Committee of Friuli Venezia Giulia (Corecom FVG) and the Italian Regulatory Authority for Electronic Communications and Media (Agcom).

In the course of the event, partners from Albania, Austria, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, Hungary, Italy, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia and Slovenia, with the support of international experts, will have the possibility to discuss about issues and regulations concerning the digitalization processes of the terrestrial television transmissions.

The conference will be opened by the President of Informest Silvia Acerbi, Paolo Francia President of Corecom FVG, Mark Pohar Vice-Director of Apek-Post and Electronic Communications Agency of the Republic of Slovenia, Maria Pia Caruso Director of the Cabinet Office of Agcom and Ivan Curzolo Responsible of the Joint Technical Secretariat of the South East Europe Programme.

Three panels will follow the opening session. The first panel aims to provide an introductory analysis of the digital dividend, the second one will deal with legal issues concerning the juridical licensing related to the digital switch-over, and the third one, at the end of the workshop, will focus on information and communication aspects for the stakeholders.

On the second day, six international experts in the DTT field will illustrate the future challenges and opportunities provided by the new standards and technologies of the digital platform.
