ADRIA3 Project, Presentation of the Axis I: Preservation of the “Pannonian-Mediterranean Bee Ecotype”

The first event related to ADRIA3 Project – Strengthening and development of cooperation between countries on the Eastern Adriatic coast will be held on 11th of February in Buje (Croatia).

The project leaded by Informest and financed by Friuli Venezia Giulia Region Law no.19/2000 is focused on three main Axis, which have as common aim to transfer experiences and good practices to the stakeholders in the three recipient countries: the Istrian Region, Montenegro e Albania. ADRIA3 aims at strengthening the economic and institutional actor capacities in order to develop policies based on environmental, economic and social sustainability principles.

This first event will be focused on Axis I which aims at preserving the Pannonin Mediterranean bee ecotype in the territories of Friuli Venezia Giulia and Istrian Regions. Three main activities are foreseen by the project:

1. scientific research on the Pannonian Mediterranean bee ecotype; 2. creation cross-border beekeepers network; 3. promotion of related products and awareness raising on the importance of bees.

At the event will participate lecturers from Trieste and Zagreb Universities and from the Natural History Civic Museum of Trieste.
