Promoting awareness of European values, strengthening the understanding of a shared identity and highlighting the contribution of Friuli Venezia Giulia to the process of European integration are the main objectives of the “Bridges of Europe” Award, promoted by the Europeanist Academy, which has published a new call dedicated to theses, research activities, personalities, organizations and works that have distinguished themselves in spreading European culture.

The award aims to recognize and promote initiatives, studies and contributions that enhance knowledge of the values, institutions and integration process of the European Union, with particular attention to cross-border cooperation dynamics and the strategic role of Friuli Venezia Giulia within the European space.

Category I – Universities

This category is reserved for individuals who have obtained a Master’s Degree or a PhD from universities based in Friuli Venezia Giulia, as well as residents of Friuli Venezia Giulia who have obtained the same qualifications from other Italian or international universities.

Category II – Personalities, Organizations, Works and Books

This category provides recognition to personalities and organizations that have distinguished themselves, either during the current year or throughout their professional, intellectual or civic careers, in promoting European values and the process of European integration. The award is also intended for books and artistic works that have made a significant contribution to the dissemination of European culture, the enhancement of border areas and cross-border cooperation.

The “Bridges of Europe” Award represents an important opportunity to give visibility to experiences, research and initiatives that contribute to building a more aware, inclusive and citizen-oriented Europe.
