Feasibility Study for the establishment of a Science Centre in Trieste

The analysis described the static and dynamic characteristics from a social, economic, infrastructure point of view of the regional processes of political and economic integration, in an area of about 500 km from Trieste in length, which can be considered as a potential catchments area for the Science Centre. The study also considered the flows of visitors linked up to generic tourism flocking in the Friuli Venezia Giulia region also due to the Science Centre and its ludic, communication and multimedial events. Even if the dimensions of the flows were analytically described and, if possible, perspective elements of evaluation were supplied, the research presented only a first concise indication on the consistence of potential tourist flows connected to the Science Centre coming from the examined region.
