Sixth PRIMIS newsletter aims to update on WP3.1 activities related to the analysis, systematization and creation of innovative tools for the dissemination and promotion of cultural, linguistic and natural heritage of programme area for tourism purposes. These activities are aimed at achieving touristic development of the linguistic and cultural heritage of native language communities present in programme area. These activities are under the responsibility of the International Relations Communication and SISTAR - U.O. International Cooperation of the Veneto Region

 

The Interreg Europe Policy Learning Platform recently launched a poll within its community to determine which issues were of most concern for regional authorities to tackle the COVID-19 pandemic. Under the Low-carbon economy theme, safety in public transport emerged as a major concern.

 


Lignano Sabbiadoro is the pilot area in Friuli Venezia Giulia for the project RESPONSe -Strategies to adapt to climate change in Adriatic regions, financed by the Programme Interreg Italy-Croatia, which supports the coastal municipalities of the Adriatic by promoting intelligent governance of risks deriving from climate change.
A questionnaire is dedicated to the citizens of Lignano Sabbiadoro and it aims to investigate how the impacts of climate change are perceived in the Adriatic region and in Lignano in particular. The questionnaire is made up of questions that ask to provide an opinion on some aspects related to climate change and lifestyle. The analysis of the questionnaires, the collection and analysis of meteorological and oceanographic data, together with meetings with local communities, will help to define an action plan tailored to the specific characteristics of the territory of six Adriatic coastal cities, among which we find Lignano Sabbiadoro.

The representative of the Italian Ministry of Agricultural, Food and Forestry Policies and Informest met on 14th and 15th July in Rome for the coordination of the project implementation and the next activities, since all the business missions are held on-line. The emergency linked to COVID-19 has not stopped the activities of the Twinning project in Georgia in favor of the National Center for Intellectual Property of Georgia - "Sakpatenti". Thanks to a special permission obtained by the European Commission, the experts of the Italian Ministry, together with the French counterpart, have carried out 230 days of teleworking mission to complete the evaluation of the Georgian primary and secondary legislation on GI products and by launching the first guidelines for the international protection of Georgian GIs, both on the domestic and foreign market and on the main online food trade platforms.

 

Last 7th July Pier Luigi Sacco, metaLAB at Harvard, and Catherine Magnant, Head of Unit, DG EAC.D1, Cultural Policy, coordinated and lead webinar on the topic “European Cultural & Creative Cities in post-COVID19 times: bouncing forward”: how has the coronavirus emergency affected European cities particularly active in promoting culture and creativity? How are they responding to the pandemic?

 

Despite the emergency situation, UnderwaterMuse project also continues its activities, closing the document on the Status quo of underwater cultural heritage enhancement and stakeholders involvement and publishing on the Facebook page some interesting thematic insights.

The RESPONSe project partners, in which Informest plays as lead partner, met once again today at distance for the VI Steering Committe meeting, to discuss and plan in detail the activities that will carry out in the coming months. Above all, the mid-term conference that will take place online in October, where eminent scientists will discuss the climate changes in the Adriatic region and the adaptation strategies to be implemented.

 

Last 7th July the second CREATURES partners meeting was held online. Despite the distance, due to COVID19 restrictions, the meeting was lively animated by the partners, who has shared ideas and opinion on the next project activities.

 

Last meeting tomorrow, Friday 3 July, of the cycle of the online seminars dedicated to deepening the role of Creative and Cultural Enterprises - ICC at European level and the possible collaboration between culture and traditional business.

Mr. Pier Luigi Sacco will speak about "The new European agenda for culture: cultural crossovers". 

The seminars, organized by the Central Directorate for Culture and Sport of Friuli Venezia Giulia Autonomous Region, in the framework of SMATH project, have aroused great interest and participation from the regional stakeholders

 

After some months of work and discussion, the project Steering Committee has approved the Self-Assessment Tool, that will be spread out among the project partners very soon. Self-Assessment tool will at disposal of the regional stakeholders for the identification of their strengths and weaknesses of the innovation cycle, policy framework, technical and financial performance on energy consumption of their University smart campuses. The data will be collected and processed by Universities of Udine and Trieste with the collaboration of Friuli Venezia Giulia Autonomous Region.

 

Second appointment tomorrow, June 24, of the cycle of online seminars dedicated to deepening the role of Creative and Cultural Enterprises - ICC at European level and the forms of collaboration between culture and traditional business. Tomorrow we will talk about "Culture as a pre-innovation platform".

 

Until 26th June the EU Sustainable Energy Week will take place under the theme ‘Beyond the crisis: clean energy for green recovery and growth’. Due to COVID-19 restriction, the event is going completely digital!

 

A technical meeting of RESPONSE project partners has begun this morning at 9.00 to discuss the meteorological and oceanographic data collected in the six pilot areas of the Adriatic. Actually, the harmonization analysis of historical data in the Adriatic regions was completed: since 1979 there has been a progressive warming of the sea temperature, particularly intensified since 2008, with trends up to 1.56°C/decade, as well as growing trends in temperature and precipitation variables.
Scientific data confirms that the climate is changing and that specific interventions and strategies are needed to deal with it.

 

Second week of teleworking for the experts of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Forestry Policies involved in the twinning project in favor of the National Center for Intellectual Property of Georgia - "Sakpatenti".

 

CARe project partners met online this morning. As required by the current situation, it was a remote sharing, which however allowed a mutual update on the progress achieved with the pilot actions in the respective territories and led to agree on the latest activities to be carried out by the end of the project, in December 2020.

 

The 2020 edition of 'Europe, let's cooperate! interregional cooperation forum' takes place online
on 9 June 2020 (10-11:30 CEST).

In this period of uncertainty and crisis, cooperation is needed more than ever. We in Interreg Europe help regions work together, exchange experiences and find solutions to their challenges. This way Interreg Europe contributes to territorial cohesion and sustainable growth in many European regions.

 

The Issue 55 of the magazine "Quaderni di orientamento", published by the Directorate for Work, Training, Education and the Family of Friuli Venezia Giulia Autonomous Region, was recently distributed, with the article including the recommendations deriving from the results obtained in BLUE KEP, a project co-financed by the Programme CBC Italy-Croatia, where Informest played as Lead partner.

 

PRIMIS project (Multicultural journey between Italy and Slovenia through the prism of minorities) co-financed by Italy-Slovenia program, in which Informest participates as technical assistance to the Culture and Sport Directorate of the RA Friuli Venezia Giulia - project partner, outlines activities aimed to implement the perception of multicultural linguistic identity in the program area and of its communities. To this end, it was deemed useful to have a brief overall picture of the EU and national Italian and Slovenia regulations for the protection of linguistic and national minorities.

Changing the approach for the involvement of local authorities without changing the final objective: this was the spirit of the online meeting had yesterday between the partners of the RESPONSE project, financed by the Italy Croatia Program under the specific objective dedicated to climate change

 

Project activities include an important investment, the restoration of Palace Gravisi-Buttorai of Capodistria,one of the most vivid examples of Baroque architecture in Koper, registered in the register of immovable cultural heritage of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Slovenia.  The palace will become the first Interactive Museum, Digital and Italian multimedia center (IMC) and will build a stable network presenting cultural and linguistic heritage of local communities. Third PRIMIS newsletter del progetto explains in detail renovation and recovery works of the palace. Newsletter #3 can be visualized here. An article on the DIVA project has been published in Platinum magazine (Il Sole 24 ore newspaper supplement) where next to the other articles is a special section called SLOVENIA 2020 on the excellence of Slovenia and Italy in the institutional, scientific, industrial, financial, medical and tourism fields, with particular reference to cross border cooperation between Italy and Slovenia. DIVA project partners prepared an online questionnaire in order to evaluate the potential for collaboration between cultural and creative sectors and traditional industrial sectors. We invite who would like to  contribute to the initiative to complete it http://diva-borderless.eu/en/aat/

Once filled, an evaluation report will be automatically generated, with a series of valuable recommendations.

The kreaDIVA! event was held on Friday 28/02/2020 at the Creativity Centre, managed by the Museum of Architecture and Design, with the aim of presenting the project and some of it’s already achieved results.

The event was attended by approx. 50 representatives of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and cultural and creative industries (CCI). Project partners presented the latest activities and results of the project. The Italian partners presented the collaboration model between the traditional business sector and the creative industries, developed by the DIVA consortium, through an online connection - for "precautionary health reasons". 

 

The cooperation project between Friuli-Venezia Giulia and Libyan municipalities in the fisheries sector ended last December; the project led to a fruitful collaboration between the two countries and issued important documents relating to fishing and the legislative and procedural path necessary for obtain EU certification for fish products. S3UNICA Smart SpecialiSation UNIversity Campus first Regional Stakeholder Meeting in Friuli Venezia Giulia Region took place in Trieste on 30th January.


 

On Thursday 16th January was held in Slovenia, at the premises of the Italian Community of Isola, in Palazzo Manzioli, the 3rd Steering Committee of the project PRIMIS - MULTICULTURAL TRAVEL BETWEEN ITALY AND SLOVENIA AT THE PRISM OF MINORANCES, a project co-financed by the EU Interreg Italy-Slovenia 2014-2020 programme.

 

PRIMIS aims to implement the perception of multicultural linguistic identity in the program area and of its communities. In the second newsletter you can find short presentations to deepen your knowledge of following communities: Cimbrian; Ladins from Comelico; Slovenian National Community in Italy; Friulans in Veneto; Italian National Community in Slovenia.

On January 14 and 15, in the city of Kaštela (Croatia), it will be held the second meeting of the UnderwaterMuse project.

 

SISMA project, financed by Interreg MED program and coordinated by Informest, continues to arouse - beyond its formal conclusion - a strong interest in the scientific community and among the key players, involved in the environmental issues and in planning of resilient cities.
The project results and the main tool, developed by SISMA partnership, have been issued this week on the Italian financial newspaper "Il Sole 24 ore".

 

The MAESTRALE project, financed by the Mediterranean program, and joined by Informest participated as partner, is closing: it was a great journey during which the project partnership proved that it is possible to look for a future that includes blue energy in the Mediterranean area.

 

The BLUE KEP Guidebook, the project co-financed by the INTERREG Italy-Croatia program and with Informest as lead-partner, has just come out. The publication contains the description of the main project features , the implementation of the activities during the 21 months and the results achieved.

 

The third meeting of RESPONSe project, in which Informest participates as the lead partner, was held in Padua on 18 and 19 November. The difficult situation of flooding and the intense rainfall that have crossed the whole Adriatic area in the last two weeks has been the background on which the two-day long work has been developed.

 

The seminar "Fundraising and opportunities for creative and cultural organizations" organized in the framework of DIVA project, will be held on 21st November 9.30 a.m at Friuli Innovazione headquarters in Udine. During the meeting will be presented cooperation opportunities between CCIs and traditional SMEs, moreover Mrs Martinoni, founder of Terzofilo and teacher at The FundRaising School, will illustrate tools and technics to do fundraising for creative and cultural operators and organizations.

The second Steering committee meeting of DIVA project partners took place in Trieste on October 22ndSoon the results of the mapping of the cultural and creative industries and SMEs of Veneto, FVG and Slovenia will be ready. 2020 will bring us many interesting activities, among which the activation of the creative hubs and organization of the workshops! Work in progress!

 

The first newsletter was published on the RESPONSe website; it presents - with an attractive and immediate infographic - the aims and project activities, the partners and some best practices already implemented. The newsletter is Italian, Croatian and English, a way to be close to the stakeholders of the Italian and Croatian coasts and open to all who are sensitive and interested in the issues of the climate change.

 

DIVA project (Development of ecosystems and innovation value chains - supporting cross-border innovation through Creative Industries) connects and integrates the cultural and creative sectors with the productive and industrial sectors. Thanks to the creation of an innovative ecosystem and the use of Smart technologies, DIVA strengthens the competitiveness of companies on international markets and offers services for society and the interregional economy. On Friday, October 11, 2019, members of the Technical Committee met at the second TC meeting, at the UNG premises in Gorizia. Representatives of CCIAA Venezia Rovigo, IUAV, Informest, UNG and Arctur coordinated further work on the project, prior to the Steering Committee meeting that will be held in Trieste on 22.10.2019.

 

The final conference of the BLUE KEP project, co-financed by the Interreg Italy-Croatia Program 2014-2020, took place on Thursday 26 September in Ancona, organized by the partner Marche Region. The project, which had Informest as lead partner, dealt with the mobility of students from the Italian and Croatian nautical and technical institutes involved in 45 days of intercultural exchanges and professional training in alternation school-work.

 

The International Conference on culture and creativity policies, the final event of Interreg MED project, ChIMERA, is opening tomorrow in Trieste at Congress Centre of Molo IV – Trieste Terminal Passeggeri.
The final event of ChIMERA, in which the General Directorate for Culture and Sports of Friuli Venezia Giulia Autonomous Region participated as lead partner, with the operative support of Informest, 

 

On 23rd September at the Multimedia Hall Tessitori of Piazza Oberdan in Trieste, will take place the first of the five days (September 23-27) of the Advanced Training “Sea governance and blue growth: balancing sustainable use and conservation through Marine Spatial Planning (MSP) in the field of fisheries and aquaculture ”, within the Deep Blue Project

 

On 17th September at the headquarters of the National Institute of Oceanography and Experimental Geophysics (OGS) of Trieste took place the Autumn Session of the Master in Blue Sustainable Growth "Blue Growth" organized by the OGS and the University of Trieste.

Friday, the 20th of September, in Trieste - at the Hotel Continentale, San Nicolò Hall, 1st floor (Via Dante 6 / A), starting from 09.45 am - Informest organizes the Infoday dedicated to schools across the region to share experiences, results and guidelines of one of the most important and innovative FVG school mobility programs in recent years, the BLUE KEP project, dedicated to training in the "sea supply chain".

 

Next 26 and 27 September Trieste hosts the International Conference on culture and creativity policies, final event of Interreg MED project, ChIMERA, in which Informest has supported the lead partner, the General Directorate for Culture and Sport of Friuli Venezia Giulia Autonomous Region.

 

The Technical Committee of the DIVA project was held in Gorizia on 5 August. INFORMEST is responsible and coordinator of the activities to strengthen cooperation between traditional companies and Cultural and Creative Industries.

The meeting was an opportunity discuss about the state of the art of the project together with technical aspects and related implementation deadlines.
